FMM250

Hardwired fleet vehicle.

The FMM250 is Teltonika's hardwired Cat M1 tracker for fleet vehicles — utes, vans, light trucks, and field-service rigs where you need an integrated CAN data reader, driver ID, and PROSTART® immobilisation. IP67-rated for engine bay or chassis mounting. Reads OEM CAN data direct from the vehicle — no OBD dongle to be unplugged. Three digital inputs, one analog input, two digital outputs (one wired to the immobiliser relay), 1-Wire iButton / RFID interface for driver ID, BLE 4.2 for nearby sensors.

Use cases

Built for fleet vehicles

Permanent fleet install

Utes, vans, and small trucks where the tracker stays with the vehicle for its working life. Hardwired install means no driver can unplug it. IP67 means it survives engine-bay heat and site dust.

Field-service and trades

Tradies, plumbers, sparkies, refrigeration techs. Driver-ID via iButton or RFID lets you allocate trips to the right tech when the ute is shared. Pre-start checks gate the engine when PROSTART® is enabled.

Operator-ID required fleets

Hire and pool fleets where you need to know who was driving without forcing a phone-app login. Driver taps an iButton or RFID card; add PROSTART® to make the tap mandatory before the engine starts.

PROSTART®

Both check and immobilisation supported

Pre-start check — supported. Operator completes the pre-start in the Teletrack operator app before driving. Checks log against the vehicle history. Failed pre-starts auto-create a maintenance work order.

Immobilisation — supported. The FMM250 has two digital outputs; one is wired to the vehicle's start circuit during install. The vehicle will not start until a valid pre-start has been completed by an authorised operator on that vehicle. Cross-vendor PROSTART® — same workflow as TrakaX® Series 2, G70-BLE, or Ruptela Smart5.

This is the entry point in the Teltonika range for machine-gated pre-start safety. For heavier vehicles with full CAN / FMS, step up to the FMM650.

Install

Three ways to get installed

Professional install

Most common path for hardwired devices. Auto-electrician partner network. Typical 45-75 minutes per vehicle including the immobilisation relay wiring and CAN connection if used.

Customer-arranged

Use your own preferred installer. We provide install diagrams, wiring schematics, and phone support during the first install. Common for hire businesses with an in-house workshop.

DIY

Not recommended. The FMM250 needs hardwired power, ignition sense, and (for PROSTART®) immobilisation relay wiring into the start circuit. A miswire risks the vehicle electrical system.
