OBD plug-ins are the fastest way to get a light-vehicle fleet tracked — most utes, vans and cars built since 2006 have the port. The trade-off against a wired-in tracker: no immobilisation relay, so PROSTART® runs as a checklist workflow rather than a hard engine lockout, and a plug-in is easier for a driver to unplug. For high-value assets or safety-critical enforcement, go wired-in.

Do I need an installer?
No. Find the OBD-II port (usually under the dash on the driver's side), push the tracker in, and it's live within minutes — we ship devices pre-provisioned. Most fleets fit a vehicle in under 60 seconds.
Can I move it between vehicles?
Yes — unplug and re-plug, then re-assign the asset in the platform so trips land against the right vehicle. That flexibility is the point of OBD; if a device should stay put permanently, a wired-in tracker is harder to remove and supports immobilisation.
Does PROSTART® work on OBD trackers?
The pre-start checklist workflow works — operators complete checks in the app, and failures alert your supervisors. Hard immobilisation (machine won't start until the pre-start passes) needs a relay wired into the start circuit, which is a wired-in tracker feature.
