Transport and logistics

Light commercial + last-mile. Live tracking, customer ETA sharing, driver scorecard, dashcams, and fuel monitoring.

Fit

Who this page is for — and who it's not.

Teletrack fits transport and logistics when you're running

  • Light commercial delivery and courier fleets — vans, utes, light trucks under 4.5t.
  • Last-mile delivery operators — local courier, parcel, food, beverage, retail distribution.
  • Yard logistics — intra-site vehicle movements at warehouses, ports, DCs.
  • Owner-driver fleets — 5 to 50 vehicles, mixed routes.
  • Mining-site delivery contractors — vehicles needing BMA / Rio Tinto / FMG dashcam compliance for site access.

Teletrack is not the right fit when you need

  • NHVR EWD-approved fatigue compliance — we're not on the approved list. Talk to an NHVR-approved provider.
  • Heavy-haulage prime mover fleets running BFM / AFM — adjacent need; covered by dedicated EWD vendors.
  • Dedicated transport management systems (TMS) — Teletrack pairs with a TMS, doesn't replace one.

The pain

The problems we solve in transport and logistics

Customer visibility on deliveries

Customer rings: 'Where's my delivery?' Dispatcher rings the driver. Driver answers when they can. Customer rings back fifteen minutes later. Repeat across 30 jobs a day and the dispatch desk is doing nothing but routing phone calls.

Fuel burn

Light commercial transport runs heavy on diesel and petrol. Idling waste, route inefficiency, and missed fuel-event evidence add up — and a fuel-card statement alone doesn't tell you which vehicle burned what.

Dashcam compliance for site access

BMA, Rio Tinto, FMG, and large Tier 1 fleet policies increasingly require dashcam-equipped vehicles for site access. Drivers turn up without one and get turned away at the gate.

Driver behaviour for insurance

Insurance renewals on commercial fleets climb every year. Insurers offer materially better terms when telematics + dashcam data is in the vehicle — but you need a system that produces the data in a format insurers accept.

Mass / asset utilisation tracking

Some vehicles run flat-out; some sit on the yard. Without hour-level and kilometre-level data you can't right-size the fleet. Capex on the next vehicle goes to gut feel.

How Teletrack fixes it

Common questions

Are you NHVR EWD-approved?

No, and we're not pursuing approval. For heavy-vehicle fatigue compliance under HVNL / BFM / AFM you need an NHVR-approved EWD provider. The full list of approved EWDs is on the NHVR website. Many of our transport customers run Teletrack alongside an NHVR-approved EWD — Teletrack for visibility, behaviour, dashcam; the EWD for fatigue.

What does the customer ETA sharing link actually do?

You generate a link from a vehicle or trip in the platform. The link opens a public page showing the vehicle's current location and ETA to the next stop. No login required by the customer. The link expires after the job ends (configurable). Replaces ringing the dispatcher or the driver to ask where the delivery is. This is Mode 4 of Teletrack's portal sharing.

Can I integrate Teletrack with my TMS?

We have an open API. We've connected with several TMS / dispatch systems for customers — outbound trip and ETA data, inbound asset register sync. If you've got a specific TMS in mind, ask during discovery.

How does fuel monitoring work in transport?

Engine hours, off-road kilometres, idle vs working time, and fuel consumption are tracked per asset. End-of-period reports break down on-road / off-road / idle / working — useful for fuel-cost allocation, route efficiency, and driver-coaching conversations.

How long to deploy on a 30-vehicle transport fleet?

Mixed DIY-plug-in and hardwired fleet of 30 vehicles is operational in 1 to 2 weeks. Plug-in install is DIY in an hour total; hardwired install runs via our auto-electrician partner network. Dashcam install adds time per vehicle. An Implementation Consultant runs the project.

Is the data hosted in Australia?

Yes. Teletrack runs on AWS Sydney. Your data stays in the country. We don't auto delete your data. Important for BMA / mining customers with data sovereignty clauses.

Do you support cold-chain temperature monitoring on refrigerated trailers?

Yes — we support ELA Innovation and other Bluetooth temperature and humidity sensors that pair to the trailer's BLE-capable tracker. Common pairing is a Ruptela Asset5 (battery, magnetic-mount) with one or more BLE temperature probes on the refrigerated body; configurable thresholds and breach alerts fire from the platform. Multi-zone support for multi-compartment trailers. POA for the sensor hardware; there's no extra monthly cost for the Bluetooth pairing itself — the trailer stays on its normal Asset5 subscription.

See Teletrack on your transport fleet

A 30-minute demo will walk through the live map, the customer ETA sharing link, the dashcam options, and the per-asset fuel reporting flow — with the honest conversation about where Teletrack stops and where an NHVR EWD provider takes over.
