Teletrack

Integration

CalAmp + Teletrack — keep your hardware, change your platform.

Integration-only. We don't resell CalAmp devices — we ingest their telemetry into the Teletrack platform alongside Digital Matter, TrakaX®, Teltonika, and Ruptela. If you've already invested in CalAmp hardware — OBD plug-ins, hardwired vehicle and asset units — you don't need to rip and replace to move onto a better platform.

CalAmp build one of the broadest device ranges in global telematics — OBD plug-ins, hardwired vehicle trackers, asset units, and some models with on-device fatigue / ELD capability used in the North American heavy-vehicle market.

This is an integration, not a hardware product. We take device telemetry from CalAmp and treat each device as a tracker in the Teletrack multi-vendor lineup. From the dashboard, the operator app, and the customer portal, a CalAmp device looks and behaves the same as a Digital Matter or Teltonika.

Data ingestion

What flows from CalAmp into Teletrack

Live GPS position

Location, speed, heading, ignition state.

Engine hours and odometer

Where the device captures them.

Digital input/output state

Door sensors, PTO, panic buttons where fitted.

Driver behaviour events

Harsh braking, acceleration, cornering from accelerometer.

Geofence entry/exit

Handled in Teletrack, not on the device.

Driver/operator ID events

Where the device supports iButton/RFID reader.

Platform integration

How it works: 4-step setup

Step 1: You give us your CalAmp device list — model numbers, ESNs, firmware versions. We confirm which features carry across.

Step 2: Choose your data path: direct endpoint switch (devices report only to Teletrack) or parallel API ingestion (devices keep reporting to CalAmp's server too).

Step 3: Each CalAmp device maps to a Teletrack asset record. The ESN is the persistent identifier.

Step 4: CalAmp devices appear on the Teletrack map, in reports, under your existing login. Alerts, scorecards, geofences, and customer portal all work from day one.

Typical activation: 1–3 weeks depending on fleet size and SIM changes.

Why this matters — no rip-and-replace

Most telematics platforms lock you into their hardware. If you've invested in CalAmp, they tell you to replace the lot — a $4,000–$10,000+ write-off before you see the new platform. Teletrack is different: hardware is one decision, platform is another. Run CalAmp alongside Digital Matter, TrakaX®, Teltonika, and Ruptela on the same dashboard.

CalAmp integration FAQs

Can Teletrack integrate to my specific CalAmp model?

In most cases yes. CalAmp's device range is broad — LMU-series hardwired units, OBD plug-ins, asset trackers, heavy-vehicle models. We confirm per model at the inventory step. Give us model numbers and ESNs upfront and we tell you which features carry across before you commit.

Will I still have a CalAmp account?

Endpoint switch: Devices reconfigured to send data only to Teletrack. Cleaner; you stop paying CalAmp-side.
Parallel ingestion: Devices keep reporting to both CalAmp and Teletrack. Useful during transition or if a contract requires CalAmp-side visibility.

Most customers move to endpoint switch once comfortable.

Can I mix CalAmp with Teletrack hardware?

Yes — that's a core Teletrack principle. CalAmp assets appear next to Digital Matter, TrakaX®, Teltonika, and Ruptela on the same map, dashboard, and operator app. Mixed fleets are normal.

What does the integration cost?

The integration is included with Teletrack subscription — no per-brand fee. You pay $21.90/asset/month (Track tier) or higher for PROSTART/modules. Same as any other tracker.

Can I migrate from CalAmp to Teletrack hardware later?

Yes. Many customers do this — keep CalAmp on existing fleet to avoid write-off, then replace devices as they age. Migration is device-level; your asset records, history, customer mappings stay intact.
