Teletrack

Integration

Latner ERP + Teletrack — sync your hire records, add live tracking and pre-starts.

Two-way integration between Teletrack and Latner ERP. Customer master, asset register, on-hire / off-hire status, and usage data sync between the two platforms. Latner keeps running your bookings and invoicing. Teletrack adds tracking, pre-starts, customer portal, and charge-by-usage data on top. Live in Teletrack platform v1.3.

About Latner ERP

Latner ERP is a rental ERP deployed across a segment of the AU hire industry. It may be less widely known than HirePOS, MCS, or Point of Rental Syrinx — but if you run Latner, you run Latner, and the integration matters as much as it would for any other ERP customer. Teletrack added the Latner integration in platform v1.3 in response to customer demand.

Latner runs your bookings, contracts, customer master, and invoicing. Teletrack runs the asset side — tracking, pre-starts, operator ID, customer portal, maintenance. The integration keeps both platforms in sync.

How it works

A typical Latner-running hire business — 5 steps

How it works

  1. 1

    Booking taken in Latner

Your hire desk takes the booking in Latner as usual — customer, asset, dates, rate. No process change for your team.

  2. 2

    On-hire fires the sync

Latner marks the asset on hire. Teletrack picks it up, associates the tracker with the hire record, and provisions customer portal access if configured. New customers sync on first hire.

  3. 3

    Live visibility through the hire

Customer logs into the Teletrack portal, sees the assets they're renting. Your hire desk fields fewer 'where's my hire?' calls. Tracking, pre-starts, geofence alerts, and usage capture run in the background.

  4. 4

    Off-hire fires close-out

Latner off-hires the asset. Teletrack closes usage capture, runs off-hire inspection if configured, packages usage line items for the invoice.

  5. 5

Line items flow back to Latner

Charge-by-usage data exports back to Latner as invoice line items. Your team approves the invoice in Latner as normal — working from hardware-captured data instead of customer self-reports.

Audience

Who uses this integration

AU hire businesses running Latner ERP

If your bookings, invoicing, and customer master live in Latner, this is the path to live asset visibility without changing your ERP.

Hire businesses moving to charge-by-usage

You want the customer paying for actual engine hours or kilometres rather than a self-reported number. The integration captures usage automatically and writes invoice line items back into Latner.

Hire with Tier 1 sub-contractor customers

Your hire customers operate on Tier 1 sites and need pre-start evidence. Teletrack provides the pre-start workflow and audit trail; the integration links it back to the Latner hire record.

Activation

What you need to turn it on

Prerequisites

  • Active Latner ERP subscription — held directly with Latner; Teletrack doesn't resell or include it.
  • Teletrack subscription — any tier (Track, Track + Safety, or Track + PROSTART®).
  • Latner API access / integration credentials — provisioned through your Latner account.
  • A field mapping decision — which Latner customer fields, asset categories, and rate codes map into Teletrack. Implementation Consultant runs the session.

What it costs

Nothing extra. The Latner integration is included with any Teletrack subscription. No per-record fee, no per-call fee.

Setup process

  1. Collect Latner API credentials.
  2. Implementation Consultant configures field mapping.
  3. Initial sync runs — customer master and asset register populate Teletrack.
  4. Hardware installs across the fleet (partner network or DIY for plug-in / battery devices).
  5. End-to-end test hire runs through both platforms.
  6. Go live.

Typical activation: 1–3 weeks depending on fleet size and data condition in Latner.

Latner integration FAQs

Do I have to switch from Latner to use Teletrack?

No. Latner keeps doing what it does — bookings, contracts, invoicing, customer master. Teletrack runs alongside it for tracking, pre-starts, the customer portal, and maintenance. The integration is what makes them work together.

How long has the integration been available?

The Latner integration was added in Teletrack platform v1.3. It's running in production for customers on Latner today.

Is the sync real-time or batched?

On-hire and off-hire events are near-real-time. Customer master and asset register reconciliation runs every 15 minutes by default — adjustable. Usage data writes back at off-hire or on the cadence you configure for in-flight billing.

What if my Latner data has duplicates or gaps?

The first-pass import surfaces them. Your Implementation Consultant works through cleanup with you before go-live.

Can we sync only part of the fleet?

Yes. Asset-by-asset opt-in is supported. Start with heavy plant, add light commercial later, or sync only assets in one yard.

How does charge-by-usage work practically?

Engine hours, kilometres, and idling are hardware-captured automatically. The off-hire event packages usage for the hire period and exports invoice line items back to Latner. Your hire desk approves the invoice in Latner as normal — working from accurate data.

What if we cancel Teletrack — does Latner stay intact?

Yes. Latner data is Latner's record — Teletrack never owns it. On cancellation we stop the sync; Latner is unaffected. Teletrack's own data is fully exportable before cancellation. Month-to-month, 30 days notice.

Are you HRIA members?

Yes. Teletrack is a member of the Hire and Rental Industry Association and active at HRIA events including the HIRE convention.

What if we use Latner alongside another platform like Hammertech?

The integrations co-exist. Latner handles the commercial side (bookings, invoicing); Hammertech handles the safety side (operator competency, induction). Teletrack runs both integrations simultaneously without cross-interference.
