Onboarding — an Implementation Consultant from day one.

Every paying customer gets a real person assigned to get them live. Platform setup, asset register, operator load, install coordination via our partner network, initial training. A typical 10–50 asset fleet is live in 1–2 weeks. It's included in your subscription — no separate onboarding fee.

Included with subscription 1–2 weeks

Standard onboarding — included.

No setup fee. No 'implementation' line item. Your Implementation Consultant is part of what you pay for monthly.

What standard onboarding includes

  • Implementation Consultant — a named contact assigned at kick-off, available by phone and email through go-live and beyond.
  • Platform setup — accounts, sites, asset categories, operator groups, alert rules, reporting cadence.
  • Customer record import — bulk import of your hire customers, sites, or job records from CSV / Excel.
  • Asset register configuration — bulk import of assets with serial numbers, registration, machine type, ownership flags, custom fields.
  • Operator load — your operators imported with licences, tickets, competencies, and (if you're running Hammertech) their site induction status.
  • Install coordination — for hardwired devices, we coordinate the install via our partner network of auto-electricians, or work with your own. Plug-in and battery devices are operator-installable.
  • Initial training sessions — live training for platform admins (fleet managers, ops coordinators, hire desk staff) and operators.
  • Go-live support — daily phone check-ins for the first week, weekly for the second.

How standard onboarding runs

  1. 1

    Kick-off call

Your Implementation Consultant introduces themselves, walks through what's about to happen, and confirms the data you'll send us — asset list, operator list, customer list (if relevant), and any current platform exports.

  2. 2

    Platform setup and data import

We configure your platform — sites, asset categories, operator groups, alert rules — and import your data. You review the asset register and operator list once it's loaded and confirm before we move on.

  3. 3

    Install coordination

For hardwired devices, your Implementation Consultant books your installs via our partner auto-electrician network — or works with your own preferred installer. Plug-in and battery devices ship directly to you for operator-install.

  4. 4

    Training sessions

Live training for platform admins (typically a 90-minute session) and operators (typically a 30-minute session per group). On-site for larger deployments, video conference for the rest.

  5. 5

    Go-live and handover

Devices online, operators using the platform, alerts firing. Daily phone check-ins for week one, weekly for week two. Then handover from your Implementation Consultant to standard phone support.

The 6-stage PROSTART® rollout — bundled with Track + PROSTART®

If you're taking PROSTART® pre-starts (the Track + PROSTART® tier — $31.90 / asset / month), the 6-stage managed rollout runs alongside standard onboarding. No extra cost.

  1. 1

    Group training

Your safety team meets ours. We walk through how PROSTART® works, what immobilisation does, and what you can customise.

  2. 2

    Setup

We configure PROSTART® — accounts, sites, asset categories, operator groups, immobilisation settings per asset type.

  3. 3

    Operator load

Operators loaded with licences, tickets, and competencies. Hammertech sync configured if you're running it.

  4. 4

    Induction video

We help you load your existing site / company induction video. Operators watch and acknowledge before their first pre-start.

  5. 5

    Questionnaire creation

Your safety team designs pre-start questionnaires per machine type using Teletrack's form-builder. We help with the first three; you build the rest.

  6. 6

    Ongoing phone + email support

Phone support continues indefinitely as part of your subscription — not a 90-day handover that disappears afterwards.

When standard onboarding is the right fit

Small to mid-sized fleets (10–200 assets)

This is the centre of what we onboard every week. 1–2 weeks for 10–50 assets; 4–8 weeks for 100–200 depending on install logistics.

Single-site or multi-site without complex hierarchy

If your fleet operates from one yard, one depot, or two-to-three sites with shared admin, standard onboarding covers you.

Customers moving from a known competitor platform

We've migrated from GPS Boss, Fleet Office, Geotab, Trackunit, EROAD, and several OEM platforms. Standard onboarding includes the data migration.

When bespoke onboarding is quoted separately

  • Fleets above 200 assets where install logistics span multiple states or contractors
  • Multi-business-unit deployments with separate admin hierarchies per division
  • Customers with non-standard data structures that need transformation before import
  • Tenders requiring evidenced go-live in a fixed timeframe with named milestones
  • Whitelabel partner deployments

Commercial model

Common questions

How long does onboarding take?

For a typical 10–50 asset fleet, 1–2 weeks from kick-off to go-live. For 100–200 assets, 4–8 weeks depending on install logistics (how many devices need professional install, how spread out the fleet is geographically). For 200+ assets across multiple sites, longer and quoted separately as professional services.

Who is my Implementation Consultant?

A named Teletrack staff member assigned at kick-off. You'll have their direct phone number and email. They run your onboarding from data import through to go-live, and they're available through the first two weeks of operation as well. After that, you transition to standard phone support — but your Consultant remains the named contact for any onboarding follow-up.

What if my fleet is 200+ assets?

Standard onboarding still applies, but the timeline stretches and install logistics often need bespoke coordination. We'll flag this at the demo or discovery call and quote any extra scope as professional services — typically multi-site coordination, scheduled training waves, or staged go-lives across business units. The Implementation Consultant role itself is still included.

Do you charge for the 6-stage PROSTART® rollout?

No. The 6-stage rollout is bundled with the Track + PROSTART® tier ($31.90 per asset per month — Maintenance Module + PROSTART® with cross-vendor immobilisation). It's not a separate line item. If you take Track only ($21.90) or Track + Safety ($26.90, pre-start checks without immobilisation), the 6-stage rollout doesn't apply. If you upgrade to Track + PROSTART® later, the 6-stage rollout runs then — still no extra fee.

Can I onboard myself / self-serve?

Yes. The self-serve path: you pick a plan, we ship you a pre-provisioned tracker, you either plug it into the OBD-II port yourself (light vehicles) or arrange a hardwired install through an auto-electrician (heavy plant or hardwired fleet). Then you log into the platform and set up your assets, operators, sites, and geofences. The tracker is keyed to your account before it leaves us, so it shows up online as soon as it has power and a mobile signal.

An Implementation Consultant is included in your subscription if you want one — bulk asset import, alert and report setup, integration scoping, the lot. It's available, not required. Take it if you want a faster ramp; skip it if you'd rather drive yourself. Either way, AU-based phone support during business hours and in-app chat are open while you set up.

What happens after go-live? Do I lose access to my Consultant?

You transition from your Consultant to standard phone support — Australian-based, business hours. Your Consultant remains the named contact for any onboarding follow-up (e.g. a new site coming online a month later, a second batch of operators to load). For day-to-day questions, you call standard support.

Can you onboard us alongside our existing platform — run both?

Not as a formal parallel-run product. You can keep your existing platform running on its own devices while we onboard Teletrack onto new devices, then switch over once you're confident — but we don't synchronise data between the two platforms. See Migration for the detail on data migration and switch-over.

What about hardware install? Is that included?

Install coordination is included — your Consultant books it via our partner auto-electrician network or works with your own installer. The cost of the install itself is passed through at cost and quoted upfront. Plug-in devices (OBD) and battery devices are operator-installable at no extra cost.
