Services
Training — a person on the other end of the line.
Live training sessions for platform admins, operators, and technicians. Phone, video conference, or on-site for larger deployments. Initial training is included in your subscription. Bespoke or scheduled programmes for big fleets are quoted separately. We don't run a self-serve video library and aren't building one — we'd rather you ring an Australian trainer than dig through a wiki.
Who we train
Three audiences. Each gets a session built to what they actually do.
Platform admins
Fleet managers, ops coordinators, hire desk staff. Typical session 90 minutes, covers the daily workflow plus monthly utilisation reports, quarterly compliance pulls, new-asset setup.
Operators
The people using PROSTART® pre-starts, completing timesheets, raising dockets, running inductions on the operator app. Typical session 30 minutes per group, focused on the daily workflow.
Technicians
Workshop and field maintenance staff using the maintenance module on tablet. Reading work orders, capturing photo evidence, logging completion. Typical session 60 minutes, ideally on-site.
How we run training
Phone
For one-on-one admin walkthroughs, quick refreshers, and ad-hoc questions during the first weeks of go-live. A real Australian-based trainer on the call.
Video conference
For group sessions where everyone can join from their own desk. Screen-share, live Q&A, recorded for your team's reference.
On-site
For larger deployments — typically 100+ assets or multi-site rollouts. A trainer travels to your yard for one or two days, running back-to-back operator sessions per shift.
What we cover by audience
Admin training
- Logging in, navigating the platform
- Asset register management — adding, retiring, transferring assets

- Integrations live on your account (Hammertech, HirePOS, MCS, Point of Rental Syrinx, Latner, Xero, MYOB)
- PROSTART® form-builder if you're running pre-starts
- Maintenance module work-order management if you're running maintenance
Operator training
- App login and operator identification (QR code as primary; RFID, iButton, keypad as overrides)
- Running a pre-start — questionnaire flow, photo capture, fail / override handling

- Dockets — capturing, signing, attaching to jobs or hires
- Site induction acknowledgement
- Offline behaviour and sync
Technician training
- Tablet login and shift start
- Work order queue and prioritisation
- Reading PROSTART-generated work orders with operator photo evidence
- Logging completion, parts used, time on tool

When bespoke or scheduled training is the right fit
Standard initial training covers a normal onboarding. The following sit outside standard scope and are quoted as professional services:
- Scheduled refresher programmes for fleets running ongoing operator induction cycles (e.g. quarterly new-starter inductions)
- On-site multi-day programmes for very large deployments (300+ operators, multi-state)
- Train-the-trainer programmes where your internal L&D team takes over operator training and we train them once, deeply
- Custom workflow training when you've taken Custom Development and your team needs to learn the bespoke capability
- Tender-driven training plans where you need an evidenced training schedule submitted to a head contractor
Commercial model
What's included in your subscription
- Initial admin training at onboarding
- Initial operator training at onboarding
- Initial technician training at onboarding (if you're running maintenance)
- Refresher sessions for new staff on a standard schedule (one or two per quarter on video conference)
- Ad-hoc phone support for individual training questions
What's quoted separately
- Scheduled refresher programmes beyond the standard schedule
- On-site multi-day programmes
- Train-the-trainer engagements
- Custom workflow training tied to Custom Development
- Tender-driven training plans with named milestones and evidenced delivery
Common questions
Do you offer self-serve training videos?
No, and we're not building a self-serve library. Self-serve training libraries tend to be either out of date or wide of what the customer actually needs to know — and they push customers away from the people who can answer the real question. We'd rather you ring an Australian trainer than dig through a wiki.
What we run instead: live sessions on the phone, video conference, or on-site for larger deployments — initial training is included in your subscription. We record video-conference sessions and send the recording to your team for reference. AU-based phone support during business hours and in-app chat cover ad-hoc questions for new staff. For platform admins coming on after the initial rollout, we recommend booking a refresher session — admin scope is wider and gets more out of a live walkthrough.
Can I train new staff myself after the initial rollout?
Yes — and most customers do for operator-level training once they've watched a couple of our sessions. The operator workflow (pre-start, timesheet, docket) is straightforward enough that a fleet supervisor or hire desk lead can run a 15-minute walkthrough for a new starter. For admin training of a new fleet manager, we'd recommend you book a refresher session with us — admin scope is wider and gets more out of a live session.
What languages do you train in?
English. Where operator teams have limited English, we work with you on the questionnaire wording — pre-start checks can be written in any language Teletrack's form-builder supports, and we've helped customers structure simple, low-literacy questionnaires with photo prompts. We don't currently offer trainer-led sessions in languages other than English.
Is there a certification programme?
No. We don't certify operators or admins on Teletrack — your operator competency for the machine itself comes from your training organisation or licensing authority (and we sync that from Hammertech or your operator records). Teletrack training teaches people how to use the platform; the underlying ticket / competency record sits with your safety team.
What if my team is spread across multiple states?
Video conference handles most cases. For very large multi-state deployments, we'll quote scheduled on-site visits to each region as part of professional services. Your Implementation Consultant will scope this during onboarding if it applies.
Do you train technicians on the maintenance module?
Yes — if you're running the maintenance module. The technician session is typically 60 minutes on-site near the workshop. For technicians spread across multiple sites, we run it on video conference with a follow-up phone check-in once they've used the tablet in real conditions for a week.
Can I attend a training session before I sign up?
Book a demo and ask for a deeper walkthrough — we run admin-style content as part of demos for prospective customers, especially for larger deployments evaluating Teletrack against an alternative. The full admin training session is reserved for paying customers at onboarding.
